LOWELL

Aaron Lee Bowers, 60, of Lowell passed away November 13, 2009 in Springdale. He was born May 3, 1949 in Fayetteville, AR, the son of Clifford Lee & Luna Mae (Ball) Bowers. He graduated from Springdale High School in 1968. He was the head custodian at Old Wire Elementary School in Rogers. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans - Fontaine R. Earl Chapter and of Single Action Shooting Society. He was preceded in death by his son, Erick Ivan Bowers.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Jane (Cox) Bowers of the home; two daughters, Elisabeth Bowers of Lowell and DeAnn Curbo of Bella Vista; two brothers, Wayne Bowers of Fair Grove, MO and Toney Bowers of Fayetteville, AR; two sisters, Mary Eva Key of Elm Springs, AR and Jeannie Faye Bowers of Springdale, AR and three grandchildren, Allison Jane Mulanax of Lowell, Chelsey Anne Holt of Little Rock, AR and Sarah Nicole Herrington of Bella Vista, AR.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m., Sunday, November 15 at Benton County Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 16 st Rogers Freewill Baptist Church with Pastors Randy Burris, Eddie Davis and Doug Laman officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Springdale. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N 4th Street, Rogers, AR 72756.

EXETER, Mo.

Howard Leroy Haimbaugh Sr., 76, of Exeter, Mo., died Nov. 13, 2009, at his home. He was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Plymouth, Ind., to Russell and Letha Walters Haimbaugh.

He served in the Michigan National Guard in Michigan and was employed by the Torrington Company for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife, Clarice M. Haimbaugh, of Exeter; a son, Howard Haimbaugh Jr.; two daughters, Belinda Hambidge and Tracy L. Partridge; two stepsons, Mark and David DeLanghe; a stepdaughter, Darlene Borton; five grandsons, one granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; three brothers and three sisters.

No services are planned.

Memorial contrabutions may be made to North Liberty Church of the Breathren.

ROGERS

Edna Finigan McDonald, 87, of Rogers, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville.  She was born Nov. 28, 1921, in Spokeplant to Edward Clark and Odessa Stepp Clark.

She graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Nursing, class of 1947, and worked as a registered nurse at All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, for many years.

She was an active member of the Rogers Christian Church. Edna enjoyed gardening, cooking and serving others. She was the happiest when the house was full and family was around. She was “the greatest” and will truly be missed.

Edna is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Vernon McDonald; three sons, Michael McDonald and wife Bobbette of Brownfield, Texas, Dennis McDonald and wife Deborah of Rogers, Mark McDonald and wife Shannon of Springdale; one daughter, Patricia Ann McKee and husband Guy of Boerne, Texas; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2: p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Rogers Christian Church with Minister Jack Galbraith officiating. Burial will be in the Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.

LOWELL

Glenn Clayton Robinson, 78, of Lowell, died Nov. 12, 2009 at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale after a two-year struggle with cancer. He was born May 30, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa, to James T. and “Pearl” Cordie Robinson.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and was an avid bass fisherman.

Survivors include five children, Jennene Snow and husband Kent, Glen Robinson and wife Pamela, all of Springdale, Mark Robinson, Robbie Robinson and Carol Ann Robinson all of Washington; friend and former wife, Ellen Robinson; two sisters, Betty Gohn of Iowa, Shirley Vigar of Arizona; and three grandchildren, Joey, Luke and Faith Snow all of Springdale.

Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale. Cremation will follow. Online condolences may be sent to heritageofnwa.com.

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz.

William H. Potteet, Jr., age 87, a resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away Oct. 24, 2009, at his home in Bullhead City.

William was born in Phoenix on Aug. 28, 1922, to William H. Potteet and Pearl Francis McKenzie Potteet Pace.

On June 8, 1946, William married Gearline Donahoo in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gerri; father, William H. Potteet; mother, Pearl Francis McKenzie Potteet Pace; stepfather, Otis Pace; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Potteet; one brother, Harry Lee Potteet; a sister-in-law, Ivy Mae Brown

William is survived by four sons, William H. Potteet III and wife Della Spencer of Shell Knob, Mo.; John E. Potteet of Grove, Okla.; Shawn Potteet and wife Krystal of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; Lance P. Potteet of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; one daughter, Cheri Plaza and husband Dave of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; one brother, Richard Pace of Phoenix; four nieces; one nephew; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; dear friends, Mildred Lowrey of Orville, Calif.; Jim and Leona Watson of Camp Verde, Ariz.; Dortha Howinton of Chico, Calif.; and many friends all over Arizona and Arkansas.

Memorial services will be Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Benton County Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 3800 W. Walnut in Rogers.

Philip Louis Vilella, 42, of Rogers passed away Nov. 12, 2009, in Rogers. He was born July 30, 1967 in Erie, Penn., to Angelo and Janet Reid Vilella.

He was the owner of Professional Tree Service.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Thoma Vilella of the home; his mother, Janet; several stepchildren; two brothers, including Frederick ‘Fred’ Joseph of Rogers; two sisters and a stepbrother.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

Burial will be in St. Gregory Cemetery in Pennsylvania.

Debbie Noeltner

Debbie Noeltner, 49, of Rogers died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at St. Johns Medical Center in Springfield, Mo.

She was born Dec. 17, 1959, in Springdale to Elmer and Goldie Oskey.

Debbie worked for the Wal-Mart Corporate Office for the past 12 years. She enjoyed traveling and especially spending time at her sons sporting events.

She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jayden Tyler and her father-in-law, Robert Noeltner.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Noeltner of the home; children, Stacey Gobble and Jason Rambo of Bentonville, Emily Tyler and husband John Tyler of Rogers; Colton Noeltner of the home and Alicia Noeltner of Conway; parents, Elmer and Goldie Oskey of Rogers; mother-in-law, Gloria Noeltner of Fayetteville; one brother, Lee Oskey and wife Joan of Pea Ridge; two grandchildren, Austin Rambo and Jaslynn Tyler.

She is also survived by one niece, Judy Fenton and husband Steve Fenton; two nephews, David Oskey and wife Becky and Chris Oskey and wife Lisa.

Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Rollins Funeral Home.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Rollins Funeral Home with Chaplain Mark Golaway officiating. Interment will follow at Benton County Memorial Park.

There will be a gathering of family and friends following the service at the National Guard Armory, 109 S.W. 8th Street in Bentonville.

FAYETTEVILLE

Lela Barron, 96, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 16, 1912, in Delaney. The daughter of William Lee and Anna Callaway Anderson. She attended Huntsville State Vocational School, University High School and the University of Arkansas, and taught the the elementary schools of Madison County.

She was a member of the Sequoyah United Methodist Church, a past president of the Washington County Home Extension Clubs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Barron; one son, Pat Philip Barron in 1997 and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Katrina Barron Exner of South Bend, Ind., and Michelle Barron of St. Louis; five great grandchildren, Zane and Rory Exner of South Bend, Thorn, Kira and Serenity Barron, all of St. Louis and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the caregivers that made her last few years very peaceful and tranquil.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Russell officiating. Burial will be following the service at 2 p.m., at the Walnut Grove Cemetery near Crosses.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Colby Zavier Parrish, infant son of Darrell Parrish and Michelle Leach Parrish of Farmington died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009.

It is with great sadness and joy that the Parrish family releases their little butterfly to fly home to our father in heaven. After being born at 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Colby Parrish passed nearly an hour later at 1:35 p.m..

Colby leaves behind an extensive network of family and friends who love this tiny angel very much. Without taking a single breath, Colby touched the lives of so many people, forever changing their souls.

He was a servant of a glorious God, and he performed his tasks to perfection.

Colby is survived by his parents; two brothers, Darious and Jase Parrish; four sisters, Charlie Barron-Parrish, Skie Parrish, Kacie Barron-Parrish and Destini Parrish all of Farmington; grandparents, Louis and LaGena Hester of Bella Vista and Larry and Gloria Leach of Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at Prairie Grove Christian Church with Pastor Josh Vickey officiating.

Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel.

FAYETTEVILLE

Gerry Ann Rountree Ragland, 88, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.

She was born and educated in Pine Bluff, where she married and raised five children. She was an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Pine Bluff, serving as a deaconess, board member, Sunday school teacher and youth group leader, as well as serving on various state-wide church committees.

Professionally, she held several clerical positions, including a wartime civilian post with the Pine Bluff Arsenal, where she met her future husband, and later with the Kelly agency. She also was an Avon representative for several years.

She enjoyed handicrafts, music and spending time with her family. She and her husband made their home in Fayetteville in 1987.

She is survived by a daughter, Josie Grimmett of Sundance, Wyo.; sons the Rev. Charles Ragland of Claremore, Okla., Clyde Ragland of Fayetteville and Don Ragland of Los Angeles, all formerly of Pine Bluff; a sister, Winifred Rogers of Aiea, Hawaii, formerly of Pine Bluff; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert L. “Bob” Ragland of Fayetteville, and a daughter, Gail Patterson of Houston, Texas, both formerly of Pine Bluff.

Cremation was by Beard’s Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville.

A memorial service is pending. Memorial offerings to the Butterfield Trail Village Foundation in Fayetteville are welcome.
