— Washington Regional Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2010 Outstanding Health Leadership Award, also known as “The Eagle Award.” The deadline for nominations is Dec. 1.

The award was established by the foundation to honor individuals or organizations that have made contributions to the improvement or delivery of health care services in the four-county area of Northwest Arkansas.

The award will be presented at the Washington Regional Foundation’s 17th annual Gala on April 6 at the Walton Arts Center.

Proceeds from Gala 2009 provided Patient Vital Status Headboards for six trauma rooms in the emergency department. These headboards provide attending health-care professionals the patient’s complete medical chart at a glance.

In 2009, the award was presented to the Fayetteville City Hospital Auxiliary, Dr. James Moore and Dr. John Weiss. Other nominees include volunteers, businesses, organizations, physicians, nurses, health care professionals and providers, and government off cials.

Nominations will be accepted and reviewed by a confidential committee who will evaluate nominees based on specific criteria. To make a nomination, complete an online application at www.wregional.com or call 444-9888 for more information.

To mail an application, send to: Washington Regional Foundation, Outstanding Health Leadership Award, P.O. Box 356, Fayetteville, 72702.
