OSCEOLA OSCEOLA - Huntsville coach Ken Harriman said he knew what to expect when his team traveled to Osceola for Friday’s first-round Class 4A state playoff game.
There was still no answer for Tony Dancy and the Osceola rushing attack.
The Seminoles piled up 410 yards rushing and 447 yards of total offense in a 48-14 victory over the Eagles.
After a competitive first half, Huntsville couldn’t keep up with the Osceola ground game.
After playing the top-seeded Seminoles to within 27-14 at the half, Huntsville was unable to put anything together after the break. The team committed five turnovers. The biggest turnover came early in the third quarter when Fred Scales picked off Huntsville’s Cody Stevens and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown.
In a matter of moments, Huntsville (4-7) went from an opportunity to get close to a 35-14 deficit.
