Car club hosts charity drive

Posted: November 13, 2009 at 12:58 p.m.

Cool cars will hit the road Saturday in a charity drive in Northwest Arkansas that goes from Fayetteville to Jasper.

Car clubs and car enthusiasts can come out to see classic cars as well as some new ones starting at 10 a.m. in the Arvest parking lot at Highway 265 and 16 in Fayetteville. While admiring the cars, everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable foods to donate to the Arkansas Food Bank, just in time for Thanksgiving.

A pickup at the Arvest site will cart all of the donated goods.

The car club will wind its way to Jasper, which will provide a parking lot. The club will then mingle at the Ozark Cafe for lunch.
