PUBLIC VIEWPOINT: Judge Should Have Pulled Over

Posted: November 12, 2009 at 4:17 a.m.

— I am shocked and disappointed in the article about Judge Jay Finch not stopping when a constable attempted to pull him over. If I, a normal, everyday, run-of-the-mill citizen were in his place, I would certainly not be treated as kindly as he was, nor would I have the opportunity to not stop, as he did.

I notice he wears glasses. What kind of special glasses does he wear that he can see flashing blue lights, yet can see the person in the vehicle doesn’t have on a uniform?

As a judge, does he not understand what flashing blue/red lights mean? As a licensed driver in Arkansas, I thought we had to pull to the side to let the emergency vehicles pass.

How did this happen on Oct. 26, and he has already paid court costs, plus a fine? Most people who get a ticket haveto wait at least a month and go to traffic court. What special privileges were accommodated him?

MAN FROM APE-LIKE CREATURE

To start with, I believe in evolution and also that the world is a lot older that 6,000 to 10,000 years. The earth is 4.5 billion years old and life probably started around 3.5 billion years ago.

Several times, lately, I have heard the comment that - if we evolved from monkeys (They must have meant apes) then why are there still Chimpanzees, Bonobos, Gorillas and Orangutans? Theanswer is clear - of course we did not evolve from any of those apes.

To evolve means that you become different and our apes are still more or less the same as they were a long time ago.

The answer is that we evolved from yet another ape-like creature, one that does not exist anymore, of course, as an ape because we are now what that ape was many years ago. Evolution takes place within the DNA of the creature and takes many years, most certainly more than 10,000 years so if that is what you believe the age of the earth is, than, of course, evolution is not possible and you must believe in Creationism or intelligent design.

But don’t come up with the comment about why there are still apes around.
