— Beaver Lake: Heavyweight striped bass are biting in the War Eagle arm of Beaver Lake.

Bill Pope at Hickory Creek Marina said stripers are biting shad or brood minnows 15 to 20 feet deep. Stripers weighing 30 to 40 pounds have been caught recently.

The area of the War Eagle arm where the power lines cross is the best place to fish, Pope said. Stripers are also biting at the mouth of Hickory Creek if there is a north wind.

Black bass are hitting spinner baits 5 feet deep in flooded cover. Crappie fishing is poor.

Jason Piper at J.T. Crappie Guide Services said crappie fishing continues to be hit and miss. The lake needs to come down a few feet to improve fishing.

Try working a minnow close to pole timber along creek channels.

Work the minnow from the bottom to the top until the fish are located.

Man-made brush piles have also been producing 20 to 30 feet deep.

Try small black/green or red/green tube jigs.

Aaron Jolliff at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said stripers are biting shad, brood minnows or jigging spoons from Prairie Creek to Coppermine Lodge.

Black bass are hitting crank baits, spinner baits or jigs. Fish areas with a limited amount of flooded cover and eliminate areas with lots of it.

White River below Beaver Dam: Jessi Eardley at the Beaver Dam Store said trout are biting Power Bait, worms and nightcrawlers.

The best lures are micro jigs or Buoyant Spoons in fluorescent red or gold/red. Silver/blue Little Cleo spoons are also working.

Lake Fayetteville: Dollie Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock said white bass are being caught on the bottom with jigging spoons.

A fishermen caught 35 whites on Tuesday.

Lake Sequoyah: Jackie Smith at Lake Sequoyah boat dock said black bass fishing is fair on spinner baits, plastic worms or crank baits.

Lake Elmdale: Lucky Key at Duck Camp Fishing Retreat said black bass are hitting spinner baits or jig and pigs fished slowly.

Bella Vista: Justin McClelland at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bella Vista said black bass fishing is good at Loch Lomond on finesse worms or jigs 3 to 5 feet deep.

Crappie are biting minnows 3 to 5 feet deep at lakes Ann and Windsor. Bluegill are biting crickets 8 to 12 feet deep over brush at all the Bella Vista.

Trout fishing is excellent at Lake Brittany on Power Bait or small spoons.

Swepco Lake: Kenny Stroud at the Siloam Springs Walmart said bass are biting plastic worms riggedwacky style 1 to 20 feet deep.

The Flint Creek Power Plant is shut down until mid-December. No warm water is coming into the lake.

Crystal Lake: Stroud said black bass are biting small jigs or finesse worms.

Illinois River, Flint Creek: Stroud recommends working deep pools with small tube baits or jigs. Olive or brown are good colors.

Upper Table Rock Lake: J.D.

Fletcher at Eagle Rock, Mo., said black bass can be caught with live minnows or French-fry plastic worms on a drop-shot rig.

Fish deep along main channel bends with bluffs. The best fishing is over humps.

Eastern Oklahoma: The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation said largemouth bass are fair at Lake Eucha on spinner baits. No report from Grand Lake.
