Compton To Speak At University Of Arkansas

BENTONVILLE Bentonville School District Superintendent Gary Compton will address a gathering of education professionals Friday as part of the University of Arkansas’ Department of Education Reform 2009-10 lecture series.
Compton will present “The Bentonville Buffet: The Cool Things We Do” in room 210 of the Graduate Education building at noon.
The lecture will focus on policies implemented throughout the Bentonville Public School District, including use of common standards, curriculum and assessment, the Gifted and Talented Center, and use of electronic teaching methods such as podcasting.
The lecture is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be provided for individuals who RSVP with the university at www.uark.edu/ua/der/Lecture_Series/RSVP.html.
