Kelly Gray

ELKINS — Kelly D. Gray, 41, of Elkins died Nov. 9, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 12, 1968, in Fayetteville, the daughter of Don Riley and Leona Mae Waddell Loftis. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Brian A. Gray; two sons, Brandon Allen Gray of the home and Timothy Standifer of Fayetteville; her mother, Leona Loftis of Maynard; her father and stepmother, Don and Ellen Loftis of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mickie Diane Colucci of Houston and Donna Sue Hansen of Price, Utah; a brother, Aaron Glenn Loftis of Bentonville; grandmother, Hazel Waddell of Missouri; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Moore’s Chapel.

Norma Anderson

FAYETTEVILLE — Norma Lucille Anderson, 95, formerly of Rogers, died Nov. 9, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 27, 1914, in Detroit to George and Estella Pettengil Levack.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Anderson and wife Sue of Rogers, and Richard Anderson of California; a daughter, Lori Anderson of California; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif.

Local arrangements are by Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville.

Sandra Mills

FAYETTEVILLE — Sandra Mills, 54, of Fayetteville died Nov. 8, 2009, at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1955, in Shreveport, La., to Stephen and Sara Shinault Day.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hauser.

She was in accounting.

Survivors include her husband, John Mills of the home; two daughters, Lindsay and Rachael Sherry, both of Fayetteville; three brothers, Jeff and Marc Day of Fayetteville and Stephen Day of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Katy Inhofe of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandsons, Mason Steett and Jadon Sherry, both Fayetteville; granddaughter, Justine Sherry of Fayetteville; father, Dr. Stephen Day of Bend, Ore.; and mother, Sara Day of Fayetteville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fayetteville, 901 W. Cleveland St.

Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Friends of Hospice in care of Washington Regional Foundation, P.O. Box 356, Fayetteville, AR 72702.

Cremation arrangements are by Beard’s Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Fayetteville.

Deana Powers

FAYETTEVILLE — Deana Gail Powers, 48, died Nov. 8, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 6, 1961, in Garland, Texas.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Hunter Wayne Anderson; and her mother, Brenda Powers.

Cremation was by Moore’s Chapel.

Loretta McClain

SPRINGDALE — Loretta McClain, 84, died Nov. 9, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 22, 1925, in Waukesha, Wis., to Shannon C. and Catherine Elanor Nicholson Follett.

She was retired from General Telephone Co. of California and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Paige and husband, Ed, of Springdale and Kathleen McClain of Fayetteville; two brothers; a sister; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Moore’s Chapel.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Alyce Phillips

SPRINGDALE — Alyce Frances Phillips, 92, died Nov. 8, 2009, in Fayetteville.

She was born March 12, 1917, in Memphis, Tenn., to Charles E. and Pearl Turner Phillips. She taught Adult Ladies Sunday school class until she was 90 years old. She retired after 40 years of service with AT&T, formerly Southern Bell. She enjoyed traveling. She loved to sew and crochet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Paul Phillips, Raymond Phillips and Eugene (Buster) Phillips; and one sister, Thelma Heskett.

Survivors include one brother, Charles Phillips of Jackson, Miss.; one sister, Hazel James of Springdale; one nephew, John Wayne James of Fayetteville; and two nieces, Nancy Howard and Jerri James, both of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Bluff Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Shaw officiating.

Memorials may be made to Elmdale Baptist Church, 1700 W. Huntsville Ave., Springdale, AR 72762.

Judy Spencer

HUNTSVILLE — Judy Gayle Spencer, 47, went to be with her Mom and Dad on Nov. 7, 2009, at her home.

She was born Jan. 16, 1963, in Springdale to James “Cajun” and Joy Wilder Lawrence. She has a great amount of extended family. She loved her family. She enjoyed writing poetry. She loved her dogs Sassy Jean and Patches. She loved NASCAR. She was a bird collector. She enjoyed dancing in her younger years.

She was preceded in death by her longtime friend, Jerry Phillips.

Survivors include one son, Michael William Lee Spencer and wife, Elizabeth, of Forum; one daughter, Joy Spencer of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Jenny Marler; one brother, William Lawrence of Greenland; one sister, Teresa Satterfield of DeQueen; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Thomas Lee

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thomas Franklin Lee, 62, formerly of Springdale, died Oct. 30, 2009, in Rochester. He was born Jan. 15, 1947, to Thomas and Sadie Lawson Lee.

He served in the Marine Corps.

Survivors include his wife, Leann Lee; four children, Michelle and Tonay, both of Canada, and Dawn and Jessie, both of New York; three brothers, including Virgil Lee of Springdale; three sisters, including Carlan Pine of Elkins and Patricia Lvecht of Rogers; three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gospel of Peace Tabernacle in Springdale.

Burial was in Rochester.
