SPRINGDALE GIRLS Saint Paul 59 Mt. Judea 26
Three players scored in double figures as Saint Paul won its 1A-1 West Conference opener over Mt. Judea on Tuesday night.
Sara Ploudre led the Lady Saints (3-1, 1-0) in scoring, while Cheyenne Morgan and Ashley Kimball had 10 points each.
Springdale Har-Ber 50 Stilwell, Okla. 43
Senior guard Halee Castleman and sophomore guard Jessica Olson paced the Lady Wildcats with 13 points apiece in a benefit game against Stilwell, Okla.
Junior forward Maggie Gartner added 10 as Har-Ber prepared for its official season opener Friday night at Elkins.
BOYS Kingston 54 Fay. Christian 51
The Fayetteville Christian boys basketball team dropped its 1A-1 West Conference opener Monday night at Kingston.
Blake Riley led the Eagles (1-4, 0-1) with 22 points. Josh Crown scored 12 and Jeremiah McLarty added 11.
The Eagles return to action Thursday with a nonconference game at West Fork.
Har-Ber 58 Stilwell, Okla. 39 BOYS - Har-Ber finished off its benefit-game sweep by outscoring Stilwell 20-9 in the fourth quarter.
Junior guard Matt Bradley led the Wildcats with 18 points, senior forward Matt Toomer scored 13 and senior forward Chris Bayles added nine.
Senior forward Jason Holmstrom drained a 3-pointer to give Har-Ber an early 9-1 lead and Stilwell cut the deficit to eight points only twice the rest of the game.
AACA Life Way Sweeps ASD
Magan Daniel scored 12 points and Megan Crutchfield added 10 as Life Way Christian (4-2 defeated the Arkansas School for the Deaf 48-22 in senior girls action on Tuesday night.
In the senior boys game Lucas Bell had 19 points and Matt Landis had 10 as Life Way won 55-34.
Life Way returns to action Friday night when it plays Cornerstone Christian Academy.
Life Way’s basketball teams also competed in the Arkansas Association of Christian Schoolspreseason tournament last weekend in Van Buren.
The Lady Warriors posted a 3-2 record, defeating Bryant Christian Academy twice 36-34 and 26-21, and Christian Ministries of Hot Springs 32-8. The team lost to Columbia Christian Academy and Van Buren Christian Academy 18-17 in overtime.
Daniel, Abby Wilson , Crutchfield and Darby Laird led the Lady Warriors in scoring in the five games.
The boys finished 1-2 with a win over Christian Ministries 24-22 and losses to Columbia Christian 44-39 in overtime and Gospel Light of Hot Springs on a half-court shot at the buzzer 34-31.
Landis and Ben Webb led the Warriors in scoring in all three games.
