Ozark Literacy Council
The annual Ozark Literacy Council fundraiser, Open Book Affair - Literacy is Not a Trivial Pursuit, will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Fayetteville Town Center. The evening will feature hundreds of autographed books and other items in live and silent auctions, dinner from Cafe Rue Orleans, beer and wine and live music from Opal Fly.

Cherish Every Moment Gala
Alzheimer’s Association
The second annual Cherish Every Moment Gala will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale. The evening will feature cocktails, dinner, a Christmas tree silent auction and dancing to live music from Ultra Suede. Also up for silent auction will be an Indianapolis 500 VIP trip.
Tickets for the black-tieoptional event are $150.

National Philanthropy Day Luncheon Association Of Fundraising Professionals
The National Philanthropy Day Luncheon is slated for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Nov. 18 at the John Q.
Hammons Center in Rogers.
This year’s award winners include Fadil Bayyari, Tim Hudson, Chris Rogers, Jeff Schomburger, Lewis Epley and Neile Jones. Kimberly-Clark, Will Golf 4 Kids and Color of Hope Gala will also be recognized. Tickets are $35 before Wednesday, $45 after. Tables of 10 areavailable for $300 before Wednesday, $350 after.

Art Show And Wine Tasting Benton County Sunshine School
An art show and wine tasting, “A Very Special Art Show,” to benefit the Benton County Sunshine School is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Metropolitan Bank at Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, 3701 Pinnacle Hills Parkway. Karrie Evenson will be the featured artist.
Additional art created bychildren who attend the Sunshine School will be available for silent auction.
Food will be provided by Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and wine by Liquor Mart & Wine Shop. Tickets are $20 and available in advance at the school or any Metropolitan Bank location, as well as at the door.

Gala For Education TheatreSqared
The annual Gala for Education to benefit TheatreSquared will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 20 atTeatro Scarpino in downtown Fayetteville.
Guests will enjoy dinner catered by Chef David Lewis of Fayetteville’s Brick House Kitchen, as well as a selection of wines and beer. Tickets for the business-casual event are $100. Sponsorship levels, which include a table of eight at the event, range from $750 to $7,500. Seating is limited to 180 guests.

Night Of Laughs
Fayetteville Fraternal Order Of Police
The Fayetteville FraternalOrder of Police will host a Night of Laughs fundraiser at 8 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville.
The PG-16 event will feature renowned southern funny men Sammy Marten and John Marks. Program sponsorships are available.
Proceeds will go toward FOP community programs such as “Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs,” youth and educational scholarships and youth athletics. Tickets for the casual event are $10.
