Rogers Child’s Artwork Selected For Card

— Artwork by Camden Tucker, 5, of Rogers, was chosen as a card design for the annual Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary holiday card project. She is the daughter of Donald and Stephanie Tucker.

Camden’s card, “Peace Dove,” is one of six designed by former patients for the project.

Camden was 2 when she was diagnosed with subaortic stenosis, a heart condition in which blood flow from the left ventricle is severely limited, according to a news release. For the last few years, she has visited the hospital and the Centers for Children in Lowell forcardiology check-ups.

In September, Camden underwent open heart surgery and isrecovering well.

Camden is one of six children whose holiday designs were chosen for the cardproject. The child-designed cards and a card by featured artist Mary Lynn Nelson are on sale. Also available for purchase are T-shirts, plush toys and a limited edition, customized ornament.

The holiday cards are the largest fundraising project of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary. All proceeds from sales of the cards benefit the hospital.
