FARMINGTON

Theodore Lee Fellinger, 89, of Farmington died Nov. 4, 2009, atthe Veterans Administration Medical Centerin Fayetteville. He was born July 17, 1920, in Fort Smith to Theodore John and Nellie Knox Fellinger.

He was a respiratory therapist at Washington Regional Medical Center and Springdale Memorial Hospital. He served in the Army.

Survivors include a son, Mike Fellinger and wife Barbara of Temecula, Calif.; five grandchildren; and fi ve great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Methodist Church in Fayetteville.

Cremation arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale.

FAYETTEVILLE

Betty M. Gaddy, 77, of Fayetteville went to be with the Lord onNov. 5, 2009.

She was born March 26, 1932, in Shreveport, La., to Alvin Joseph and June Courtney Maricella. Bettyand Jim married in Gibsland, La., in 1952.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Gaddy; her son, James C. Gaddy and his wife, Julie, of Fayetteville; daughter, Tracy Adams and her husband, Steve, of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, Stuart, Will and Annie Gaddy and Matthew, Emily, Margaret, Carolyn and Scott Adams.

Betty received a B.A. degree in education from Louisiana Tech University in 1953. She taught elementary school in Monroe, La., Knoxville, Tenn., Root Elementary in Fayetteville and in Rolla, Mo., at Mark Twain Elementary School. She and Jim moved to Fayetteville in 1966 and back again in 1980. She was a member of New Heights Church of Fayetteville. Betty enjoyed ministering at Second Mile Ministries, Samaritan House, leading women’s Bible studies, painting and traveling with her family. She wasalso a member of Chapter BH PEO in Fayetteville. Betty leaves a legacy of telling others about Jesus and loving others selfl essly.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at University Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.

Dolores V. Scheller, 78, died Nov. 5, 2009, in Fayetteville. She was born March 4, 1931, in New Orleans to Joseph and Dorethy Burdick Ernst.

She was a retired registered nurse.

Survivors include her husband, Donald W. Scheller; a daughter, Debra Hurd of Fayetteville; two sons, Devin Scheller of Fayetteville and David Scheller of Petersburg, Mich.; a brother; a sister; two grandchildren.

No services are planned.

Cremation arrangements are by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.

SPRINGDALE

Johnny Lee “Sonny” Upshaw Jr., 38, died Nov. 1, 2009. He was born Aug. 20, 1971, in Fayetteville to Johnny Lee Sr. and Erma Jean Logan Upshaw.

Survivors include his father, Johnny Lee Upshaw Sr.; four sisters, Christy Upshaw, Sandra Upshaw, Joanie Lindley and Krystal Hall; two brothers, Ronnie Upshaw and Cody Hall.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale.

Services will be at noon at Stuckey Cemetery in Johnson.

ROGERS

Elinor Petrowsky, 69, of Rogers died Nov. 4, 2009. She was born May 7, 1940, in Staten Island, N.Y., to Louis and Ellen Lombardo.

She retired from Brunner and Lay Construction where she worked in human resources.

Survivors include her husband, Dimitri Petrowsky; children, Gary Bouchard and wife Susan of St. Augustine, Fla., Anthony Lombardo of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Dennis Bouchard and wife Connie of Palm Coast, Fla., Michael Bouchard and wife Gladys of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Lisa Townsend and husband Sammy of Rogers, Danny Bouchard and wife Gyenn of Rogers; a brother, Louis Lombardo; three sisters, Rose Mary Green, Joanne Connoly and Linda Bonica; nine grandchildren; a greatgrandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers.

FORT SMITH

Micki Ann Bleidt, 65, died Nov. 3, 2009, at St. Edward Mercy Medicalin Fort Smith. She was born March 10, 1944, in Fort Smith to John Lester and Dorothy Ann Vann McAleb.

She hadlived in Fayetteville for 25 years before moving back to Fort Smith in 2003. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville and First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith.

Kind and compassionate, and a proud and devoted mother and daughter, she loved art, music, literature, gardening and her beloved pug, Walden. In her younger years, she was active with the Fort Smith Little Theatre. She attended college at the University of Arkansas.

She is survived by her son, Aaron C. Bleidt of Fayetteville; and brother, John H. McAleb and wife, Nicole, of Little Rock.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 2005 and her father in 1995.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith with burial to follow in Forest Park Cemetery underthe direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

WITTER

Marion Carpenter Tinsley, 72, born Jan.

9, 1937, died Nov. 4, 2009.

Marion was a beloved son of Muriel Houston and Mildred Harriet Carpenter Ti n s l e y o f Paragould. A 1954 graduate of Paragould High School, he served six years as anadministrative specialist in the U.S. Air Force where he attained the rank of sergeant. He was a member of the Arkansas Highway Police and worked for the State of Arkansas in his fi nal years.

Marion was deeply loved by his children, Dr. Sherlita Amler (Dr. Robert) of New York, Sherlene Rice (Tommy) of Georgia, Marion Jr. “Buzz” (Ina) of Maryland, Tollece Sutter of Arkansas, Leman Curtis “Coot” (Shannon) of Arkansas, Amber and Alexandra of Missouri; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his former wife of 30 years, Nadgerine Dean Foresythe Tinsley; and brothers, Jack (Cora) of Illinois, Muriel (Cathy) of Kentucky and Mike (Sun I) of Texas.

Marion was a friend to all and impacted lives in ways that few others ever do. We are all better for having known and loved Marion. A finer friend exists nowhere.

Any man can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a Dad. Goodbye, Dad. Our lives will always be shaped by you. We love you.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. today in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with a visitation prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The family will be present.

Burial will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
