A poll conducted Oct. 14-28 of 754 adult Arkansans indicates that 44 percent believe health-care quality will decline if it’s changed by Congress, while 30 percent predict little or no change.
Forty-eight percent of the respondents oppose a public option, while 39 percent support it.
Also, respondents weren’t too concerned yet with next year’s U.S. Senate race, even though sevenannounced Republican candidates want to unseat Sen. Blanche Lincoln, a Democrat who is seeking her third six-year term.
When asked how closely they’ve been following the Senate race, 76 percent of poll respondents said “not too closely” or “not at all closely.”
