Hogs’ freshmen pull their weight

Brandon Mitchell, shown in 2009 against LeMoyne-Owen, gave up basketball to concentrate on football, but the Razorbacks’ backup quarterback decided to try basketball again after playing with old teammates and friends in Amite, La., following Arkansas’ victory in the Cotton Bowl.
Arkansas’ freshman class had some pretty good moments in Thursday night’s 102-69 exhibition victory over LeMoyne-Owen before an estimated 3,233 fans in Walton Arena.
