ROGERS The Benton and Washington County Tea Parties will co-host a candidate forum and straw poll for U.S. House of Representatives and Senate candidates from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.
Tickets at the door are $5, according to a news release.
Senate candidates committed to attend include State Sen. Gilbert Baker of Conway, Curtis Coleman of Little Rock, Conrad Reynolds of Conway, State Sen. Kim Hendren of Gravette and Buddy Rogers of Rogers.
Third District Rep. John Boozman, R-Rogers, has a schedule conflict but his name will be on the ballot as will his opponent in the Republican primary, Bernie Skoch, who has committed to attend.
Panelists will ask a question which all candidates have up to two minutes to answer. The panelist can then pick any candidate to ask a follow-up question to. Each candidate has two challenges where they can spend up to two minutes responding to something another candidate has said, after which that candidate gets one minute to answer.
The moderator will pick up to three questions from a question box in the lobby where people can deposit question.
