NORTHWEST ARKANSAS FISHING REPORT

BENTONVILLE Beaver Lake: If stripers, hybrid stripers or white bass tighten your line, head for the Prairie Creek area of Beaver Lake.
Aaron Jolliff at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said all three species are biting topwater lures, brood minnows or jigging spoons. Good places to fish include Prairie Creek park, Bear and Deer islands and the Arkansas 12 bridge.
Jolliff said some fish are schooling. Others are being caught 30 feet deep.
Black bass are hitting spinner baits or jigs worked in flooded cover or chunk-rock banks. Good spots to fish are transition areas, such as where a bluff meets a rocky bank.
Lee Winkler at Hickory Creek Marina said black bass are roaming flooded bushes and hitting spinner baits.
The water is muddy on the southern end of the lake.
Stripers and hybrids are biting in the Hickory Creek arm in the late evening on Rat-L-Traps, brood minnows or gizzard shad 1 to 10 feet deep.
Scott Humphreys at Lost Bridge Marina said stripers are hitting top-water lures near Beaver Dam, but the fishing is hit and miss.
White River below Beaver Dam: Jessi Eardley at the Beaver Dam Store said trout are biting nightcrawlers, red worms or Power Bait.
The top lures are Buoyant Spoons in silver/blue or red.
Effective flies include WD-40s, midges and small woolly buggers.
Lake Fayetteville: Dollie Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock said white bass arebiting jigging spoons worked near the bottom. One angler caught 25 white bass on jigging spoons.
Crappie are biting, but most are under the 10-inch length limit. Work minnows or jigs 15 to 25 feet deep.
Lake Sequoyah: Jackie Smith at Lake Sequoyah boat dock said black bass are hitting spinner baits or plastic worms 1 to 4 feet deep.
Crappie fishing is fair 3 to 6 feet deep on jigs. Catfish are biting liver or sunfish 5 to 20 feet deep.
Lake Atalanta: Aaron Jolliff at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said trout are biting Power Eggs. The best colors are chartreuse, orange or white.
Lake Elmdale: Lucky Key at Duck Camp Fishing Retreat said black bass to 3 pounds were caught last weekend on crank baits and jig and pigs 5 feet deep close to drop-offs.
Bluegill are biting worms.
Swepco Lake: Kenny Stroud at the Siloam Springs Walmart recommends using plastic worms 1 to 20 feet deep along points.
The power plant is shut down through mid-December.
Bella Vista: Nick Gann at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bella Vista said black bass are biting finesse worms or jigs 15 feet deep.
Crappie are biting minnows 15 feet deep near brush.
Upper Table Rock Lake: No report this week, but J.D.
Fletcher at Eagle Rock, Mo., said last week that bass are hitting top-water lures in pockets along the main lake channel. Try plastic worms or tube baits around docks.
