— All adult Eagle Scouts are invited to attend a Gathering of Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Aloft Hotel in Rogers.

The event is an opportunity to become acquainted with scouting in Northwest Arkansas and to network with other Eagle Scouts, according to a news release.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in Boy Scouts of America.

“Once an Eagle, always an Eagle,” said Wade Colwell, Razorback district chairman. “All Eagles just naturally have a lot in common. Ianticipate a lot of good story swapping and reminiscing about our mutual scouting experiences.”

In 2009, 41 young men have earned the Eagle Scout rank in Razorback District, which includes Benton, Washington and Madison counties. Several more are expected to finish by the end of the year.

For more information about the Eagle gathering, contact Colwell at 479-466-8345. For information about Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venturing, call Mike Boness, district director of the Razorback District Westark Area Council, at 479-366-8265.
