— The Siloam Springs community was stunned Monday by the death of junior Cody Noble, a wide receiver on the Panthers football team.

Noble died Monday, and his loss was a blow to the western Benton County community.

“It’s obviously a shock to ourcommunity and school,” Siloam Athletic Director Kerwin Dees said. “Pretty awful news to the community.”

Siloam canceled its junior varsity football game Monday night against Springdale Har-Ber.
