THINK GREEN The seventh edition of the Kansas City Irish Fest will take place Sept. 4-6 on the Crown Center Square. Among the musical acts performing are more than 20 local and national bands playing traditional music and Celtic rock. Several Irish dance companies will also perform throughout the event. The festival will run from 5-11 p.m. Sept. 4, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 5-6. The square is located on the corner of 25th Street and Grand Boulevard. Admission is $10 per day. FOR FREE The tradition of featuring live national music acts at the Power & Light District with no cover charge continues this summer. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BILL In honor of former President Bill Clinton's birthday, the Clinton Presidential Center will have free admission on Aug. 15. While at the center, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day, visitors can check out the exhibit,"Space: From the Moon to Mars."The exhibit, a collection of materials to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the moon landing, will be shown until Aug. 30. A GOOD DEAL Those who love to hunt for bargains might want to head to Buchanan's Fairgrounds Trade Days and Flea Market from Aug. 15-16. A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR The Tony Award-winning musical "Mary Poppins" will entertain audience members at the Fox Theatre from Aug. 13-20 as the story of a magical nanny takes to the stage.The production, which is produced by Disney, features all of the familiar songs from the original movie, including "Chim Chim Cheree," "A Spoonful of Sugar" and "Sup ercalifragilisticexpialidocious."
