SPRINGDALE - Ed Baker, 97, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Stamford, Texas, to Uriah E. and Lottie Arendt Baker. He was retired from the produce business, a Methodist and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his son Bill Baker and wife Dianne of Springdale, Ark., and one grandson Jason Baker of Plano, Texas. Committal services will be held in Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
