Decatur barbecue is Aug. 7

DECATUR — The 56th annual Decatur Barbecue will be Aug. 7.
Entertainment will be by John Conlee. The concert will be held from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The early show at 7:30 p.m. will feature Kyla Horton. Admission is free.
Chicken dinners will be available for pickup at the Decatur General Store beginning at 11 a.m. The cost is $6.
In Veterans Park, activities will include 10-K, 5-K and 2-K runs and a Fun Run, beginning with registration at 6:30 a.m. There will be arts and crafts all day with children's games at 10 a.m., a parade at 2:30 p.m.
and several beauty contests beginning at 6 p.m.
