Couples' Night begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 20. Need a night out?
Come join us at the Rogers Public Library every Thursday night at 6 p.m. for Couples' Night. Bring a picnic dinner and your significant other. This week's film is Blade Runner [Rated R. Run time: 117 minutes] directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Daryl Hannah and Edward James Olmos. Rick Deckard is a retired blade runner, a term for a replicant hunter. A group of human replicants, whose four-year life span is nearly up, hijack a space ship and make it to Earth's sprawling Los Angeles to seek out their "designer" and ask for an extension. Unwilling to give up life and its wonders, they lead Decker on a dark and dangerous chase while teaching him what it really means to be human. For couples 18 and up. No registration required.

When a tickingtime-bomb insomniac and a soap salesman channel their aggression into therapeutic "fight clubs," an eccentric woman gets in the way and ignites an out-of-control spiral toward oblivion. For couples 18 and up. No registration required.
Teens
A musical performance by the Sugar Free All-Stars begins 10 a.m. and at 6 p.m. July 29. Join us for some musical fun with the Sugar Free All-Stars in the Community Room. All ages welcome.
Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
End of Summer Reading Program Celebration begins at 10 a.m.
Aug. 1. All ages are invited to join us for this story time and craft.
Help us celebrate the end of our Summer Reading Program with a family-themed story time and the making of a picture frame.
Saturday Cinema Time begins at noon Aug. 1. Celebrate the end of our Summer Reading Program by watching Night at the Museum [Rated PG. Runtime: 105 Min.] directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ben Stiller, Carla Gugino, Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney.
Larry Daley is a divorced father who can't seem to keep a job for more than a week. He applies for a job at the Museum of Natural History and is assigned as a night guard. However, a seemingly easy job turns out to be an adventure when he finds that an ancient curse has caused the "inhabitants" of the museum to come to life.
End of our Summer Reading Program Raffle Celebration begins at 2 p.m. Aug. 1. Join us for our end of summer celebration as we raffle off prizes.
The Real Beauty Workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 1 will focus on giving young girls the steps to applying make-up, hair techniques and confidence in being who they are as individuals. We will have a Merle Norman Consultant going over the latest in skin care and make-up. We welcome teens ages 11-18 and their guests to this program. Teen Game Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6 and 13. Come enjoy fun and exciting video games and board games with other teens.
We will have Super Smash Bros Brawl, Guitar Hero and more.
Children
There will be no special programs Aug. 2-16 in the Rogers' Children's Library. The fall programming resumes Aug. 17.
Crafty Creators begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 17. Come join us for Crafty Creators, an hour filled with creation and imagination. Join us this week and make your own paper air balloon. This program is best for ages 5 and up.
Bilingual Story Time begins at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 18. Come and join us for a fun family story time that's twice the fun with stories, songs and rhymes in two languages. This week's theme focuses on author David Shannon. This program is for the entire family with stories in English and Spanish. Come for stories and stay for a related craft.
Preschool Story Time begins at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 19. This week's Preschool Story Time with Ms. Rebecca will feature children's author Eric Carle. Join us for stories, songs and rhymes. For ages 3 to 5. A craft will follow.
