Service for Terry Handy, 41, of Rogers, who died July 22, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. He was born Dec. 12, 1942, in Visalia, Calif., to Jessie Ray and Lois Crawford Gibson. DELANEY - Danny Lee Patrick, age 68, passed away on July 26, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center. He was born on the 8th day of July, 194l, the son of Dan Ervin Patrick and Audie M. VanBrunt Patrick. He was a lifelong resident of the community of Delaney in Madison County, Ark. He was an educator and a farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Joyce Ann of Delaney; a brother Jerry Ray Patrick and his wife Linda of Delaney; a son Jerry Lee Patrick of Delaney; a daughter Tonya L. Patrick and her husband W.H. Taylor of Fayetteville and two nieces. He is also survived by four beautiful granddaughters and two beautiful great-granddaughters, who were the joy of his life.

Danny was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and there received a master's and a specialist degree in education. He was a successful and beloved coach of basketball coach at Huntsville School District and then at St. Paul School District for many years. He retired as superintendent of schools for St. Paul and then came out of retirement to serve a tenure as superintendent of Winslow School District.

In 1966, Danny became the youngest legislator in Arkansas, when he was elected the first Republican since reconstruction to represent Madison and Carroll county in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He continued a life of public service after retiring from school administration by serving on both the St. Paul School Board of Education and on the Washington and Madison County Drug Court Advisory Board. He owned and operated his own tax preparer business at his home in Delaney.

Danny was an avid and wellknown musician and had shared his passion for rock and roll piano with this family and community since he was a young man. Never idle, he still enjoyed making music and camping with his family and friends, traveling with his wife, and farming with his brother and son. He loved his neighbors and serving his community. Most off all, he liked being with his family and enjoyed the simplicities of a life well-lived.

Funeral service will be Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul High School gymnasium. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Rev. Jasper Hankins and Judge Mahlon Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Patrick Cemetery. Online condolences at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.

• HARRISON - Caroline Price, 94, died Sunday. Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, Holt Memorial Chapel. Survivors children and spouses, Ernie Price Jr., Faye Homan, Shirley and Jim Lee, Thelma Keef, Marilyn and David Clark, Judy and Tom Pannell; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
