University of Arkansas officials announced the names of the local undergraduates who earned a place on the chancellor's list for the spring 2009 semester.The students named to the chancellor's list must earn a 4.0 grade point average in at least 12 hours of classes during a regular term.

Interim Dean Lalit Verma of the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences; interim Dean William Schwab of the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences; Dean Dan Worrell of the Sam M.Walton College of Business; Dean Reed Greenwood of the College of Education and Health Professions; Dean Ashok Saxena of the College of Engineering; Dean Jeff Shannon of the School of Architecture are recognized the local undergraduate students on the dean's list of their respective colleges and schools. Students on the dean's list represent the top 10 percent of students in their college, enrolled in 12 or more hours during the semester. All students on the chancellor's list are automatically on their college's dean's list as well.

Dean Cynthia Nance of the School of Law also recognized the law students named to the dean's list. A law student must earn a 3.0 grade point average for the semester and be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours to qualify for the Law School dean's list.
