Military park sets temporary closure

Posted: July 28, 2009 at 6:10 a.m.

— On Monday, the Pea Ridge National Military Park Museum will be closed for remodeling. The current exhibits, installed in the 1960s, will be removed and replaced with updated museum displays and interpretive media.

The project will enlarge the size of the museum and will update the lighting and floor covering in the exhibit area. The project is scheduled for completion in early March 2010. The visitors center, auditorium and bookstore will remain open for visitors. Temporary museum exhibits will also be on display while the main museum is being remodeled.

The park is 10 miles north of Rogers on U.S. Highway 62.
