Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE Helen Chronis Poulides, 93, of Fayetteville died Friday, July 24, 2009.
She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Athens, Greece, the daughter of Panayiotis Chrysanthakis and Xanthippe Villaras Chrysanthakis. She was of Greek Orthodox faith but attended the Episcopalian church. She was involved in the American Red Cross and Greek Relief Organization and was a St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chronis C. Poulides.
Sur vivors include two son, Paul C. Poulides of Bella Vista and Peter Poulides of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Maria Poulides of Anderson, Mo.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Butterfield Trail Village.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Butterfield Trail Village Foundation for the Butterfield Trail Village Special Cares Center, 1923 E. Joyce Blvd., Fayetteville, AR 72703.
Dr. Herbert Allen McPherson Jr., 83, of Fayetteville died on Friday, July 24, 2009,at Fayetteville City Hospital.
He was born June 11, 1926, in Brownsville, Tenn., to the late H.A. McPherson Sr. and Elizabeth P. McPherson.
Herbert was a World War II Navy veteran and receivedhis bachelor of science degree from Louisiana State University where he was a member of the Tigers marching band. Hewent on to earn a masters in invertebrate zoology before graduating as a medical doctor from the LSU School of Medicine in 1956. He was a member of Nu Sigma Nu medical fraternity and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
A member of Central United Methodist Church, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria; a son, Allen; a sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Bill Shirley of Richardson, Texas; and a granddaughter, Allie of Covington, La.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 27, at Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance may be made to Central United Methodist located at 6 W. Dickson, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
Internment will be at a later date in Simsboro, La.

Lincoln
Harold E. Pharr, 83, a resident of Lincoln, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born July 9, 1926, in Bush Valley, the son of William Shannon and Hazel Ella Ferguson Pharr.
He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Dutch Mills where he served as a Deacon. Harold was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS President Adams and was a member of the American Legion. Harold enjoyed swimming, gardening and spending time with his three grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Shannon Pharr.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Marrs Pharr of the home; one son, Gene Pharr and his wife, Cindy, ofLincoln; one daughter, Joyce Bradley and her husband, Ed, of Lincoln; one brother, Wayne Pharr and his wife, Merlyn, ofLincoln; three grandchildren, Brian Bradley and his wife, Kelley, Daniel Bradley and his wife, Brooke, and Jennifer Pharr; four great-grandchildren, Madalynn Bradley, Marylauren Bradley, Bryce Bradley and Bryley Bradley.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-6 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be heldWednesday, July 29, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with Homer Rich officiating. Interment will be in Bethesda Cemetery near Morrow. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gene Pharr, Ed Bradley, Brian Bradley, Daniel Bradley, Mike Pharr, Al Sanders, Jody Cheatham, Garland Smith and J.T. Prince

Springdale
George Joseph Taggart Sr., 44, of Springdale died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
He was born Sept. 7, 1964, inValdes, N.C., the son of Howard William and Agnes Elizabeth Tremer Taggart. He was a truck driver and graduated from votech training in 1991. He was a Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Taggart of the home; three sons, George Taggart Jr., Randy Taggart and Jeff Sparksof Springdale; two daughters, Robin Tharp and Debra Taggart of Springdale; two sisters, Debra Lankhorst of Chesapeake, Va., and Cathy Reed of Fort Smith; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Tontitown.
West Fork
Etta Mae Johnson, 76, of West Fork died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
She was born May 30, 1933, in England, Ark., the daughter of Dudley Hall and Laura Blue Hall. She was a registered nurse and worked for Beverly Nursing Center before retiring.
Survivors include a son, Hartsell Honeycutt Jr. of Jamestown, Calif.; four daughters, Janet Cox of Wisconsin, Nancy Sage and Dorothy Porter of West Fork and Katherine Delk of Stockton, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beard's Chapel. Burial will be at West Fork Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Fayetteville.
Delaney Community
Danny L. Patrick, 68, of the Delaney Community died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
Arrangements are pending through Beard's Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Fayetteville.
