BELLA VISTA Three issues are scheduled to receive votes at today's meeting of the Bella Vista City Council.
The subdivision ordinance will have its final reading and may receive the majority of the aldermen's support. The proposed requirement for pedestrian accommodations was removed from single-family homes and twofamily duplexes.
Last month, 12 changes from the Planning Commission's document were adopted by majority vote, but wording changes for pedestrian accommodations needed additional review.
The latest changes were reviewed at a work session Wednesday, and it appeared that the majority found the ordinance acceptable.
As it stands now, any changes to city-owned rights of way will require homeowners to seek a permit, if passed. The only exceptions are for the initial installation of driveways and mailboxes.
The vote on the right-of-way ordinance was delayed twice after discussions on gravel and decorative plants stalled the vote in both May and June.
Revisions to the sign code, which has been in effect since October, is also scheduled for a vote, after being tabled in June.
Residents wishing to address the council may sign up prior to the meeting and will be allowed three minutes to speak.
The City Council meeting is open to the public and will convene at 6:30 p.m. in the lower-level studio of the Bella Vista Community TV station, at the Highlands Crossing Center, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd. The meeting is broadcast live on local cable Channel 16.
