Times Square has bomb scare

Police check, tow van that had no plates, fake placard

A white van parked near Times Square with tinted windows, no license plates and a bogus law enforcement placard was enough for police to briefly evacuate the tourist hot spot and send in a bomb squad on the day before the annual New Year’s Eve celebration.
