Some of the changes first-year Police Chief Steve Hamilton made are obvious. The department has new uniforms and a motorcycle patrol of Harley-Davidsons. Other changes aren’t so obvious.

Sounds like a lot of community oriented policng. Is this all that has been developed? The article did not talk about other change except a rewrite of policies and procedures. Some interesting facts what has the turn over rate been since he has taken over within the department? Has the crime in the city decreased since he became chief? Where does he see the department in 2010? Has the community supported the new change within the department?
