OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Leona Iona (Bragg) Chance, 75, passed from the loving arms of her family into the loving arms of her heavenly Father on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009.
Leona was born Jan. 17, 1934, in Burdick, Kan., to Cecil and Iona Bragg. She married Robert Leroy Chance on Jan. 24, 1959.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Micky Darlene; and grandd a u g h t e r , Brittni Dawn Chance; mother- and fatherin-law; and brother-in-law,Darrel Chance.
Survivors include her husband, Robert of Oklahoma City; daughter, Nina Warr and husband Rex of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sons, James Roy Chance of Story, Ark., and Robert Leroy Chance Jr. and wife Patsy of Austin, Texas; two stepdaughters, Cheryl and Greg Carpenter of Cameron, Okla., andDebbie Chance of Morris, Okla.; two brothers, Cecil Bragg Jr. of Rogers, Ark. and Jack Bragg and wife June of West Fork, Ark.; brother-in-law, Jim and Edna Chance of Topeka, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Jeaneane Chance, of Topeka, Kan., Maylene and Harold Williams of Lakin, Kan., Linda and Jim Davis of Topeka, Kan., and Brenda and Tim Davis of Colorado Springs, Colo. She has 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Those who knew and loved Leona will miss her dearly. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.
