NEW YORK — Police said a man has died after he was struck by a train in a New York City subway station.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene in Jamaica, Queens. Police said emergency workers who responded to a call shortly after 7 p.m. Friday found him on the tracks of the Jamaica-Van Wyck subway station. Police said the man was on the tracks when the train entered the station and struck him.
Police said no crime was suspected in the death. The identity of the man who was believed to be between 30 and 40 years old was not immediately released. The medical examiner’s office was expected to determine the cause of death.
