— Deanna Rose Royce

BENTONVILLE -- Deanna Rose Royce, age 55, passed away Dec. 19, 2009, in Salt Lake City.

She was born March 12, 1954, in Indianapolis to Russell Simpkins and Arizona Hopkins Simpkins. She graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School, in Hamilton County, Ind. She married David Royce on Aug. 8, 1987 in Punta Gorda, Fla.

Deanna was a devoted wife, who loved animals and enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing and home remodeling. As an enrolled agent, she ran her own small business and helped clients with income and payroll taxes.

Deanna is survived by her husband, David W. Royce of Bentonville, and her sister, Nancy Plourde of Salt Lake City.

Services for Deanna will be private in Salt Lake City. Arrangements entrusted to Evans and Early Mortuary.

Candy G. Monson

ROGERS -- Candy G. Monson, 58, of Rogers passed away Dec. 21, 2009, in Rogers. She was born Sept. 6, 1951, in Stafford, Kan., the daughter of Kenneth & Florence Krum Rock. She was an X-ray technician for Rogers Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Monson of the home; her son, Travis Monson and wife Ashley of Springdale; her sister, Cherry Dirks and husband Norvin of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Lester Rock and wife Sharon of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Leslie Rock and wife Anitra of Brighton, Colo.; and her granddaughter, Tierney Monson of Springdale.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday at Benton County Funeral Home in downtown Rogers.

Curtis Homer Swanson

BENTONVILLE -- Curtis Homer Swanson, 70, of Bentonville died Dec. 22, 2009, at his residence. He was born June 12, 1939, in Claremont, S.D., to Homer T. Swanson and Edith Miller Swanson.

He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to tinker in his shop and enjoyed spending time on the computer keeping up with family and friends. When he made a friend, he kept them for life.

He retired from Emerson Electric and worked at Bob Morey's Auto Body in Bentonville. Curt loved his family and set a wonderful example for his wife and girls as he proudly walked with the Lord all his life.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 46 years, Sharon "Shari" Swanson; three daughters, Amber Morey and husband Bob of Bentonville, Amanda Gibbs and husband Pat of Pea Ridge, Marcia Beck and husband Bill of Bentonville; three sisters, Mavis Johansen of Pipestone, Minn., Marcia Hieb and husband Harlan of Mitchell, S.D., Sharon Thompson and husband Hank of Rapid City, S.D.; mother in-law, Loraine Weismantel Krogman of Aberdeen, S.D.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Point Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery with military honors.

Edith Ida Campbell

ROGERS -- Edith Ida Campbell, 102, of Rogers, died Dec. 26, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born Feb. 13, 1907, to Carl and Mary Raddatz Kutschara.

She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Don Campbell of Rogers; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Rogers. Burial will be private.

Clara Wright

ROGERS -- Clara Wright, 79 of Rogers died Dec. 24, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale She was born March 29, 1930, in Springdale to Marion William and Jessie Mae Riggins Fields.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Wright and wife Barbara of Fayetteville and Marion Wright of Rogers; two daughters, Marcia Stamps and husband Rick of Springdale and Belinda Reynolds and husband John of Ozark; a brother, Jim Fields of Springdale; three sisters, Lela Pianalto of Springdale, Betty Reed of Springdale, Nadine Holland of Gentry; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

John Hershberger

BENTONVILLE -- John Gale Hershberger, 87, of Bentonville died Dec. 26, 2009, at Bentonville Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Wichita, Kan., to Ralph Grass Hershberger and Opal Lorene Bacon.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific theater.

Survivors include his wife, Lilyan Hershberger of the home; a daughter, Connie Snodgrass of Rogers and a son.

A private burial will be held at Ruddick Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.
