FORT SMITH: City hoping decoys get the drop on geese
Plastic coyotes to scare gaggle at park

Pedestrians stroll around the walkway Tuesday past a coyote decoy at Carol Ann Cross Park in Fort Smith. The city’s Parks and Recreation Department installed the decoys to deter ducks and geese from the walkway surrounding the lake.
The city of Fort Smith has employed coyote decoys used by hunters to lure in game in an effort to drive Canada geese from a city park.
