Ozark Sweeps Heritage

Rogers Heritage boys basketball coach Tom Olsen said his team just couldn’t score enough Saturday night.

Ozark, Mo., jumped to a 42-26 halftime lead and cruised to a 78-48 win over Heritage.

“They’re just better than we are,” Olsen said. “We can’t score like that. They hit 11 3-point shots.”

Senior guard Brandon Brzozkiewicz led the War Eagles (3-7) with 18 points and played well, Olsen said.

“He hit some shots and did some good things,” Olsen said. “But I’m not sure they (Ozark) aren’t the best team we’ve played this year. Them or Broken Arrow (Okla.), but I think that might be a pretty good game.”

Zac Stewart chipped in wiith eight points.

Heritage will not play again until Dec. 28 when it will take on McDonald County, Mo. in the Neosho (Mo.) Tournament. The War Eagles’ game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
