100 YEARS AGO Dec. 21, 1909 To be in a position to safeguard the interests of Little Rock in the event that a franchise is granted for the installation of a natural gas system here, Secretary H. F. Auten of the Business Men’s League has written letters to a number of cities using natural gas, requesting copies of their franchises. Copies of franchises granted by Kansas City, Mo., and Kansas City, Kan., have already been received.
