Blood Center Plans Drives

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will host several area blood drives this week.

Drives include:

Rogers - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Frisco Station Mall, 100 N. Dixieland Road

Fayetteville - 4 to 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Impact Martial Arts of Fayetteville, 16 West Township Road

Springdale - 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, TruTrak Flight Systems, 1500 S. Old Missouri Road

Fayetteville - 11:30 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks, 1100 N. College Ave.

Rogers - 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Home Depot, 1701 S.

46th St.

Red Cross Sets Drives

The Red Cross will have a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at the Tontitown Fixed Site, 250 Industrial Circle East in Tontitown.

The Red Cross will have another blood drive from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Walmart, 3919 N. Mall Ave. in Fayetteville.

Northwest Donates

To Local School

Northwest Health System, which operates hospitals in Benton and Washington counties, recently donated a collection of medical supplies to Greenland Elementary School.

The donation included a pediatric stethoscope,bandages, tongue depressors antiseptic towelettes, wound cleaner, iodine and several other items helpful in the day to-day first-aid care needed the school.

The items were presented school nurse Debra Emerson by Dixie Lee Hedgecock, the hospital system’s manager of marketing and community relations.

Santa Hosts Open House

Santa and Mrs. Claus will host an open house from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at 13510 Frisco Cemetery Road in Lowell.

From Interstate 540, take exit 78 and go east. Turn left onto U.S. 71B at the traffic light. Turn right onto McClure Avenue. Turn left onto Old Wire Road. Turn right ontoFrisco Cemetery Road. Go 2.6 miles. The house is on the left down in the woods.

Fund Drive Provides Aid

The B&B Fund Drive in Benton County is preparing for its 18th annual Christmas event.

Last year, the organization served 4,128 people with Christmas dinner and provided toys for 640 children.

The nonprofit organization seeks assistance with providing food for the elderly and underprivileged on Christmas Day.
