LITTLE ROCK — BURNS PARK YELLOW TRAIL
Location: Park in North Little Rock near the north end of the Big Dam Bridge over the Arkansas River. Look for the Pfeifer Loop Trail sign on the circle. Follow the yellow blazes.
Length: The new equestrian trail connects Pfeifer Loop with the multiuse Yellow Trail Loop in Burns Park. It’s about six miles there and back again.
Main attractions: Murky lowlands, open deer fields and deep woods. It’s flat and easy walking, much of it on mowed grass near existing asphalt paths.
Hazards: Yield to horses. Seriously - get off the path and stand very still. They’re much bigger than you are.
Amenities: Parking, water,restroom.
Dog, bike, tyke friendly? Keep dogs on a leash; bikes yield to horses; and keep the kiddies on the asphalt paths.
