Body found in Fort Smith park over weekend

Death labeled as suspicious

Posted: December 21, 2009 at 8:55 a.m.

— Police in Fort Smith are investigating the “suspicious” death of a man whose body was found in a city park.

Sgt. Daniel Grubbs says 59-year-old Walter Graham was found Saturday afternoon in Martin Luther King Jr. Park.

Grubbs declined to comment on the suspected cause of death — but said it does not appear to be natural. He says the body has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
