Twain Alfred Walker Jr.

RENO — Twain Alfred Walker Jr., 66, formerly of Reno, passed away Dec. 18, 2009, at his home in Wellington, Nev. He was born in Downey, Calif., on Aug. 4, 1943. Twain worked as a C.P.A. for more than 30 years in Reno, and enjoyed working with all of his clients. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. Twain also enjoyed gardening and car restoration.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters, Kim (Jerry) DePaoli and Korine (Crag) Walker-Clark; brother, Ralph Lonie; sister, Dorothy (Darral) Hallaway; grandchildren, Jeffery DePaoli, Tawni (Derek) Purdy, Brianna DePaoli, Jacob DePaoli, and Justean Walker Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Dane Purdy.

Private family services are scheduled. Arrangements are being handled by Walton Funeral Home in Reno.

Rod Blakeslee

CENTERTON — Rod Blakeslee, 63, of Centerton died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center of Bentonville.

He was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Springfield, Mo., the son of Roy David and Willalou May Coffey Blakeslee.

He retired from Wal-Mart with 24 years of service. He loved his family, cattle, hunting and four-wheeling. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy A. Blakeslee, to whom he married Sept. 27, 1975; two sons: Kerry Blakeslee of Gravette and Danny Blakeslee of the home; one brother, Roy David Blakeslee Jr. and his wife Warnell of Woodstock, Ga.; two sisters, Pam Henderson of Fayetteville and Sharon Wolfe and her husband Charles of Springdale; a brother-in-law, Larry Henderson of Springdale; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Baldwin Church of Christ with Randall Caselman officiating.

Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Moore’s Chapel.

Donald Samuel Karpman

ROGERS — Donald Samuel Karpman, age 75, of Rogers, passed away Dec. 19, 2009, in Rogers. He was born March 1, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Gerald and Pauline Ruddnick Karpman. He had been in the insurance business and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Faye of the home; two sons, Kenneth Karpman of Tampa, Fla., Robert Karpman of Fort Worth, Texas; a stepson, Oscar Gutierrez of Rogers; two daughters, Laura Karpman of Mission Viejo, Calif., Julia Young of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; one brother, Dr. Michael and his wife Gail Karpman of Banning, Calif.; five grandsons, Colton, Eric, Daniel, Jorge, Adrian; eight granddaughters, Jordyn, Callie, Emma, Annabelle, Mamie, Kassandra, Addison and Jada.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Callison-Lough Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Rogers Cemetery. Services are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Bonnie Jean Graham

ROGERS — Bonnie Jean Graham, 81, of Rogers died Dec. 19, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Pea Ridge to Wade Lynch and Kee Mayfield Lynch.

Survivors include two daughters, Billie Sue Hankins and husband Mitchell of Lowell, and Lois Kinney and husband Kenneth of Rogers; a brother, Jay Lynch of Pea Ridge; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers with burial to follow at Tucks Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Kasey Blaine Srita

GREENLAND — Kasey Blaine “Little Man” Srita, 13 months old, of Greenland died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 18, 2008, in Rogers, the son of Brooke Ann Tash.

He is survived by his mother, Brook Ann Tash of the home; his maternal grandparents, Gary and Shania Tash of the home; two aunts, Raelene Tash and Erica Tash of the home.

Fred Peck

PEA RIDGE — Fred Clarence Peck, 94, of Pea Ridge, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at his home. He was born Sept. 12, 1915, at West Olive, Mich., to Clarence Oren Peck and Almira Ann Miles.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army as a regimental sergeant major serving in the Pacific Theater and receiving three Bronze Stars and one Bronze Battle Star for the Philippine Liberation. He witnessed the signing of the Peace Treaty in Tokyo Bay.

He met and married his wife, Helen King, at Fort Riles in Junction City, Kan., March 1, 1943, and they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2009. Fred was employed by Grand Haven Stamped Products for more than 39 years where he was the shipping and receiving supervisor. The couple moved from Michigan to Northwest Arkansas in 1977 and to Pea Ridge in 1979 to make their home. Fred accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord as a boy at Spring Lake Baptist Church and was currently a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Bentonville. He was a hunter, fisherman, enjoyed sports — football, baseball and was an avid golfer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marguerite Kemmer; and one brother, Harry Peck.

Survivors are his wife, Helen Peck of the home; one son, Kenneth Fred Peck of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Kathy Bridges and husband Sam of Springdale; one brother, Kenneth Peck of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Nellie Labno of Carefree, Ariz.; and one granddaughter, Heather Marrs of Washington state.

Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Liberty Baptist Church in Bentonville with Pastor Rex Rodgers officiating.

Burial will be at Bentonville Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty Baptist Church before the service.
