Volunteers Trade Work For Free Camping

‘RUFFING’ IT George and Johnnie Barnes, volunteers at Hickory Creek Park on Beaver Lake, enjoy taking care of the park for the Army Corps of Engineers and living in their recreational vehicle at the park year-round. With them are their dogs, Taz and Sugar Sage.

George and Johnnie Barnes enjoy lakeside living at Beaver Lake and it doesn’t cost them a dime.
