PUBLIC VIEWPOINT Dismayed Over Cost Of War

Ican’t tell you how dismayed I was recently to hear that our president is sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan. In the days after his speech, I’ve realized that I’m not the only one. People have use words like “shocked,” “saddened,” “didn’t believe he’d do it,” and “what does that Nobel prize mean?” I’m even more disturbed that reports in the media haven’t reflected what I’m hearing in the field. Our opinions are not being reflected at all, as far as I can tell.
