WRESTLING NOTEBOOK: Springdale Har-Ber Making Strides

Springdale Har-Ber’s wrestling team may only have a 6-11 record this season, but the Wildcats program got a boost over the weekend by winning the lower bracket at the War Eagle Duals in Rogers.
“It’s a real big deal,” Har-Ber coach Paul Esterer said. “Because in that bracket, probably from the eighth team to the first team, anybody could beat anybody. In the (top) bracket, that was probably the top eight in the state.”
Har-Ber defeated the Rogers Heritage junior varsity 45-33 in the orange bracket finals Saturday.
Senior Hunter Black led the way for the Wildcats going 5-0 at 160 pounds. That included a victory over a Little Rock Central wrestler. The Tigers finished second to Heritage ...
