Brian Moynihan, 50, who over the past year has served as general counsel, head of global wealth management and consumer bank chief at Bank of America, was chosen by the Charlotte, N.C.-based bank’s board of directors to replace Ken Lewis as chief executive officer starting Jan. 1.
