A sad holiday for soldiers Imagine that it’s Dec. 24 and a soldier is standing guard duty in a land far away. It’s about midnight and the cold wind is blowing little bits of snowflakes around him. It feels like the wind is blowing through him and he wonders how the other side knows so much about quilted uniforms.
