Beebe against revenue shift for highways

State can’t afford transfer of $425 million, office says

The first recommendation on how to raise more money for highways — shifting $425 million annually from general revenue — ran into an immediate hurdle even before a blue-ribbon committee had a chance to consider it: Gov. Mike Beebe.
