POTATO PANCAKES A HANUKKAH FAVORITE

Members of Congregation Etz Chaim in Bentonville fry pans of potato latkes on Friday for their Pot Latke dinner to celebrate the first day of Hanukkah.

Bottles of yellow vegetable oil rested on the kitchen counter next to electric skillets that trailed cords to wall outlets. Nearby was the tradition they were there for — containers of homemade latke batter.
