EDUCATION BRIEFS: Fletcher Awarded Scholarship

Colton Fletcher of Pea Ridge has been awarded a dean’s scholarship to attend Williams Baptist College.

The scholarship is awarded to incoming WBC students based on their college entrance examination scores.

Fletcher is a senior at Pea Ridge High School. He is the son of Terri Smith of Bentonville, and Daniel and Dee Fletcher of Pea Ridge.

Cronkwright Receives Award

NorthWest Arkansas Community College honored Brigitte Cronkwright of Bella Vista as the Golden Eagle Award recipient of the month at the November meeting of the NWACC Board of Trustees.

Cronkwright is pursuing an associate of applied science degree in business management with the retail option at NWACC. Her anticipated graduation date is December 2009.

In addition to her academic endeavors, Cronkwright serves as president of the NWACC Rotaract club, a college-level affiliate of Rotary International.

JBU Students Named To Lists

Several students have been named to John Brown University’s president’s and dean’s lists from the Advance Degree Completion Program.

Each student is a member of the Northwest Advance Program cohort group number 06 working toward a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.

Those honored include:

President’s List — Vicki Holloway of Gravette and Kimberly Stewart of Fayetteville

Dean’s List — Tasha Brown of Bella Vista; Dorie DeZurik and Lasea Ellis, both of Gentry; Bartley Herring, Ryan Paskiewicz and Caleb Schultz, all of Siloam Springs; Terri Mitchell of Lincoln; and Cassie Reid and Mark Stewart, both of Fayetteville.
