Arkansas has sent a review to the SEC office detailing the appearance of basketball players Rotnei Clarke, Courtney Fortson and Jeff Peterson in a magazine fashion photo spread, which also includes names of the stores that provided their clothes with pictures of the players.

Razorbacks Coach John Pelphrey, who couldn’t be reached for comment Monday night, also appeared in the spread in the December issue of Celebrate Arkansas magazine.

The photos were taken at Walton Arena.

Having names of retail stores appear with the pictures of players raises questions of whether the fashion spread is a form of advertisement and could violate NCAA rules which prohibit athletes from using their names or images to promote the sale of commercial ...
