— Two people were arrested by police Thursday night after witnesses said one threatened a pregnant girl with a gun.

Tyrone Lee Doolittle, 18, of 435 S. Happy Hollow in Fayetteville faces felony charges in connection with residential burglary and aggravated assault. A male juvenile was also arrested in connection with felony residential burglary, aggravated assault and first degree terroristic threatening.

Fayetteville police responded to the Southmont Apartments, 1101 S. Curtis, at about 10:20 p.m. Thursday after witnesses reported seeing a boy walking around the apartment parking lot with a shotgun.

The girl, who is three months pregnant, told police she was assaulted by the boy, whom she identified as her ex-boyfriend and the father of her unborn child. Officers reported the girl and the boy got into physical argument after he accused her of being involved with another female. The boy reportedly left the residence, but later returned. He told police he was then punched, choked and stomped by the girl’s brother, causing minor injuries.

After the attack, the boy called his cousin, whom police identified as Doolittle.

According to the arrest report, Doolittle knocked on the girl’s door and asked for the boy’s belongings. Doolittle then forced his way into the apartment and attacked the girl by pushing and punching her. Doolittle told police he was upset about his cousin being assaulted by the girl’s brother.

The boy reportedly then entered the apartment, holding a shotgun, and pulled Doolittle off the girl. He then pointed the gun at the girl’s head and threatened to kill her, the report stated.

Both Doolittle and they boy were arrested by police after running from apartment. Doolittle was being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond Friday. He’s expected to make his first appearance in Washington County Circuit Court today.
