100 YEARS AGO Dec. 12, 1909 One of the first acts of Mayor W. R. Duley, after resuming the mayor’s chair yesterday afternoon was to announce that he was in favor of going ahead with the plans for building the city electric light plant, five headquarters and city stables, which was proposed to the council by Acting Mayor Tuohey some time ago.
